Cookies Policy

This page is maintained by Harvard & Headwaters LLC to explain how Hollywood Headlines uses cookies and similar browser storage.

Do we use cookies?

Hollywood Headlines does not use traditional tracking or advertising cookies. We do not place cookies on your device for analytics, profiling, or marketing purposes.

What we store in your browser

To make the game work, we store a small amount of data in your browser's localStorage. This is sometimes called "essential" or "strictly necessary" storage because the game cannot remember your progress without it.

The saved data includes:

  • The date of the puzzle you are playing.
  • The guesses you have submitted for today's puzzle.
  • Whether you chose to reveal the answer.

How long is it kept?

Browser localStorage persists until you clear it manually. Each day, when a new puzzle is released, the app replaces the previous day's stored game state with a fresh entry.

Third-party content

Clue cards and read-more links may take you to external websites such as Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Deadline, Vulture, IndieWire, and Entertainment Weekly. Those sites may use their own cookies and tracking technologies under their own policies.

How to clear your data

You can remove the stored game state at any time by clearing site data for Hollywood Headlines in your browser settings. This will reset your progress for the current puzzle.
